Very proud to be club champion of @SDGCMembers again. Last year was like @NickFaldo006 in the Open '92, nearly losing it but prevailing in the end. This year it was like Sir Nick's Masters win in '96.
@NCG_com These prices are staggering. No round of golf over Β£150 is worth it. These courses might be getting these greens fees for international golfers but those of us based in the UK can forget it. How about a push for more reasonable UK resident rates?
@BigMaxGolf pictures attached of two golf bags I purchased from you in recent years. The blue one lasted two years before the zips went, the green one just over 4 years. Not what you expect from a near Β£200 golf bag. Clearly poor manufacturing. I'll shop elsewhere in future.
@RalphWardlaw Remember the Peter Allis series there and played it at least once (possibly more) in the early 90s not long after I left school. Great fun to play.
@jamierkennedy Absolutely just a putting contest. If they take @PGAChampionship to a course like this with such severe greens it's inevitable. We're potentially on the cusp of another Micheel/ Beem/ Yang incident (although I love Beemer really).
@HibernianFC Great signing, he's still playing at such a high level, scoring, assisting and causing teams trouble. Glad our skipper is staying for "at least" one more year. π
@MMcEwanGolf This course set up is simply not differentiating between the players. Not sure that makes for a good major. It's going to beware crap shoot tomorrow.
@MMcEwanGolf@bunkeredgolf It totally is the US Open. Showing how @PGAChampionship is struggling for it's identity. They aren't getting it right. Maybe it should be modern classic courses. Currently no different to the US Open. Set up for a no name winner.
@jamierkennedy Great analysis. The course set up looks unnecessarily penal. An interesting contrast to a couple of years ago when Xander beat out Bryson in a shoot out. When the setup is this harsh it becomes a lottery and a no name often wins out.
@MetCC there is someone riding a moped at high speed around the pedestrian path inside the Fairfield park in the middle of Kingston Upon Thames. There are school children in the park at lunchtime in danger.
@GolfMonthly I agree with many of the suggested improvements to make the PGA more memorable but not the matchplay idea. Looks at matchplay events in recent years, very rarely do the top players make the finals. Too much of a lottery.
@golfshake I have played here a good number of times over nearly 20 years in Sussey. It was such an interesting layout, not a single bland hole (I can remember each one!), but conditioning was not always very good.
@jamierkennedy It's a tough comparison but I think he needs one more major win to be guaranteed as the best European player. But in terms of influence and inspiration, Seve will never be overtaken. He was the one who showed the Americans could be beaten as a team and as individuals.
