How demons showed a man their deeds.

One day, a man fascinated by secret magical powers contacted demons.
And then one day they told him:
"Do you want to see how we do evil to people? “
He was curious and agreed.

He barely had time to nod his head before they picked him up and swept away like in a whirlwind.
Everything around him went dark. The earth disappeared under his feet. And they flew above the city - noisy, busy, full of people.

The demons were laughing:
- Look, the woman is in a hurry, pulling her child by the hand. Now we will whisper to her: 'You're late, and your child is to blame for this! ' - and she will hit him.

And indeed, the mother blushed, screamed, and burst into tears... And the demons just giggled: We are not forcing you - we are just encouraging you.

And they flew on. They entered the house where husband and wife were having lunch. It was quiet and peaceful. One demon was blowing, and in the heart of the husband a thought appeared:
- Why is she so cold to me?
The other whispered to the woman:
- He doesn't appreciate you at all.

And the quarrel broke out, dishes were flying, love turned to bitterness.

Do you see? - said the older demon - We don't break people; they open the door themselves. A little bit of envy, a little bit of pride, a pinch of bitterness and - the soul is already burning.

Then they flew over the church. People were standing at the service, candles were burning. And the demons whispered: - Tell this - remember, he insulted you. To the one - remember how you were praised. And to this - make him look at the watch.

And the service goes on, but prayer has left their hearts. The man watched, trembling with horror:
- But you spoil everything, you destroy everything!

- No - they answered - we only use what people carry in their hearts.

And then he felt that it was becoming heavier, as if black smoke was consuming him.
- Enough! - he screamed. - let me go !

But the demons laughed: - It's too late, you invited us. We have shown you our craft, now you are ours.

Scared, he began to pray the best he could:

"Lord, have mercy! Mother of God, save me! “

And in that moment, the sky was flashing with light.
The angel of the Lord appeared, and the darkness split. Demons roared and disappeared, like smoke in the wind.

The man woke up on earth, near the cross, and he could not get up for a long time. Tears were pouring from his eyes, and his heart was burning with shame.

He realized: curiosity towards evil could cost the soul eternity.

Since then, he never sought darkness, but lived in remorse and told everyone he met: "Don't trust the cunning, he always starts with curiosity.
And the end is doom.
Whoever seeks miracles without God, will find demons,
but whoever seeks God will see the Light even in darkness. “
