The Department of the Navy oversaw the Navy and Marines and the Department of War oversaw the Army and the Army Air Force’s. The NSA of 1947 changed all this.

@BradDuplessis The best education I had to develop my critical thinking skills was taking econometrics courses. While understanding the linear algebra and calculus behind the statistics was good, it was the analysis identifying assumptions and connecting theory with methodology that was great.
