@tribelaw Given the makeup of SCOTUS, they are empty words. Besides, even if SCOTUS does rule against the Trump administration, how can that be enforced?
Revealed, but in an indirect sense. Many working class people feel that the Democratic Party abandoned their economic interests. They either didn't vote or voted for Trump based on cultural reasons.
Has Donald Trump changed America or revealed it? https://t.co/kLi8Mr4I4e
@smerconish The results of the exact same poll on Fox News would be the reverse with Trump being the decisive winner. So the results are more indicative of your viewers presidential preferences. It's like asking the home team crowd how much their team will win by
@CBSNews McConnell ditched the filibuster for the things he wanted to get done: SCOTUS votes for example. And because of that abortion is no longer a protected right. Lifting in filibuster to reinstate the right is clearly justified.
@RadioFreeTom Since Watergate, the press has focused on gotcha politics ( think NYT pitchbot). The problem is this still works on politicians and members of the public who care about character, integrity, and other virtues. It does not work on Trump or his supporters.
@gtconway3d Juror #2 is the Doubting Thomas. His inability to accept facts has been skewed by a steady diet of X and Truth Social. My guess is no matter how many times he hears the evidence and the jury instructions, he just can't accept them. Propaganda and the algorithms work.
@smerconish Mr. Smerconish, to suggest that defendants may not be able to get a fair trial is an implicit indictment of our justice system. What system of justice would you propose that would devoid of bias?
@AccountableGOP@gtconway3d@JudgeJeanine The probability of the Judge, or anyone else on Fox, will correct this falsity approaches zero. So Fox viewers will continue to think she is right. This is how propaganda works.
Is it appropriate for DOJ to try Trump in the Fall of 2024? YES! Why? Because the only reason it will be in the Fall is his continuing delay tactics. If he wants the trial before STOP the delay tactics. https://t.co/kLi8Mr4I4e
Both Hinson and Miller-Meeks voted to impeach Mayorkas. Why aren't local TV stations like @KCRG asking our reps why they did?
House vote to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas fails, thwarted by Republican defections https://t.co/7B90BAMIv1
@SenatorCarter a truly touching tribute to your grandmother. Your grandparents exemplified how public servants should behave and act. Although I no longer post on this platform anymore, I made an exception for you and your family.
