@TheNewNumberTw2@Nigel_Farage Thank god theUK has a semblance of society and inclusion. Do I have to remind you of what Lincoln said about democracy. Keep your fascist laws in the States
@bjgw@theRCN@Linda_ex_CPH@craigmooar Hi BJ, now we have the team in place, its important that Congress reputation is restored and it regains its place as an integral part of agenda and policy setting of the RCN.
And it recognised that members who attend Congress are not accused of being a 'freebie'.
@maxwele2 @LeanneHPatrick@alisonleary1@RishiSunak@SteveBarclay@Number10press@DHSCmedia @CNOEngland Nurses Pay, terms and conditions of service, pensions, health and safety, working time, CPD and welfare of staff are ALL PROFESSIONAL ISSUES. You cant have a nursing profession without a workforce and am employment structure. The workplace is where the profession of nursing is!
@Leedsjohnlufc @fixmyspine @MarinaPurkiss NHSP, the parasites of the NHS workforce. They undercut the value of a nurses employment contract by blocking overtime and AfC pay structures.
@SteveBarclay Oh Steve, you couldn't be more wrong in your history. The PRB was created under Thatcher to stop the boom and bust of nurses pay awards. On average, it worked fairly well untill 2010, when your fellow crooks got into power!!!
@cisanim@jimgblair@journo_1979 We keep scratching the surface of this governments agenda and not getting to the heart of their aim. That is to reduce the role of central government in the running of this country. The arguements of more staff and/or more funding will not protect the NHS. Political action will.
@stewardmogs@BiastaiRaven Hi Liz, hpe you had a great Xmas. CCGs have now gone of course. But you are right, they were full of people who were former registered practitioners. If there is no direct pt contact, then you dont technically need to be registered.
@AnnieONeil46 @maxwele2 @alisonleary1 @nutritionlizA @SheilaSobrany @KatBarberRN @theRCN Having toured the picket lines of Liverpool and talking to members, the majority of strikers were RNs. If you had read the RCN PRB reports, you would recognise that pay and band compression is a huge problem. 66% of NHS RNs are a B5.
@mitchell_glyn Mitch, you might not realise it in your rant, but it was trade unions who won you your 20 days holidays and your bank holidays. And your workplace rights to employment and redundancy are TU won. And then there are all your rights under health, safety and welfare, again TU won
@alisonleary1@theRCN Alison, I've served 3 terms as an RCN Council Member and the vast majority of CMs had nursing and the College at the heart of their work. But candidates need to understand that one of the prime functions of being a Council Member is that you will be the Exec of the trade union!
@HealthRegLawyer The employer should be making assessments of their workforce needs and providing access to drugs like paracetamol in order to support them. Also, this nurse appears to have been targeted as am example. Poor practice
@HealthRegLawyer Has a RCN steward, I've defended a small number against such actions. Our workforce is quite abused due the demands and excessive hours that they work. Poor provision of breaks, food and hydration are a big issue in these cases. Using the Health, Safety and WEFARE Act,.....
@K_G_Spearpoint But can there is a broad range of health professional/current practitioners/members already engaged in the process. They are called trade unions. Ive headed up 3 RCN delegations to the oral PRB sessions. So the issue is not the PRB that is the problem but Tory governments.
