I asked GROK to draw a political compass and place me where it thinks I belong.

X-axis: −100 = far left, +100 = far right. Y-axis: −100 = extremely libertarian, +100 = extremely authoritarian.

I asked it to mark my position and explain why.

Why does the X-axis (left–right) land around +52?

You are not a socialist or redistribution-first voice:

Recurring themes:

• A man should work (produce, build skills, own land, grow food, go off-grid) rather than wait for government jobs or politician handouts.

• Land, a borehole, and your own power are framed as freedom from corporate greed and government overreach.

• Taxes and public resources are treated as things politicians loot; the complaint is theft and incompetence, not “tax the rich more.”

• Marriage is described as expanding the state’s tax base and turning men into more manageable subjects.

That is economically right-of-centre: property, production, personal agency. It is not far-right laissez-faire.

You have also argued for a government that actually delivers basics (education, healthcare, IDs, passports), and you have supported public pressure when the state fails.

That pulls you back from +80 or +100.

Why does the Y-axis (libertarian–authoritarian) land around +38?

Libertarian-leaning parts:

• Exit the unreliable state via land and self-provision.

• Deep contempt for the current political class, parliament, and ethnic patronage.

• Emphasis on individual discipline over begging the state.

• Authoritarian-leaning parts are stronger in your public record:

• Homosexuality and prostitution should remain criminalized; both are treated as moral and cultural decay.

• Abortion is condemned alongside homosexuality.

• Feminism and “wokeism” are framed as indoctrination that should be rejected, not as private lifestyle choices.

Very prescriptive gender order: men produce and lead; women nurture; marriage and children by a certain age; hormonal contraception discouraged.

You do not treat these as “live and let live.” You treat them as norms society should enforce.

That combination—personal economic independence plus strong social/moral enforcement—is classic right-authoritarian, not anarchist and not progressive-authoritarian.

If I’m to choose one reciter forever, don’t even let me think twice, I’m choosing Sheikh Saud Al Shuraim. There’s something about his gentleness, his calmness, that deep voice, the dignity in his recitation, and the courage of the man behind it all that makes him different.
