And did this while aggressively and vocally resisting calls to leave for bigger markets. Signed an extension ASAP to avoid it being a distraction, etc.
Youโll never hear a bad word about him from me. Excited for the statue.
He saved an entire franchise and then brought said franchise its first championship in 50 years. He should be the most beloved Wisconsin sports figure in history.
Brian Branch on this play: โWhen I looked back for the ball, instead of looking up, I looked back at the QB, and I didnโt see the trajectory of the ball โฆ I was in perfect position. Itโs not something the reciever did, itโs my doing, thatโs all. I just gotta be better.โ
Andrew Vaughn picked quite a moment for his first home run since Aug. 15. Three-run shot for a 3-3 tie and a brand new ballgame in Milwaukee. Sweet sassy molassy.
@MaybergNathan Pitching injuries are far more correlated with the emphasis on spin rate/velocity than they are with the pitch clock.
Itโs possible that there is an increase in less severe injuries, but no data supports pitch clock leading to more season ending injuries.
The pitch clock has been one of the best rule change success stories in North American sports despite receiving lots of hate initially. Including from me.

The "Never pay relievers" mentality, mixed with the Brewers uncanny ability to develop pitching, has turned into an incredible pipeline. With Uribe up next.
Trevor Megill just named to the all-star team.
That makes it so the last 6 different pitchers going back to 2013 to lead the Brewers in saves in a season all were all-stars as Brewers (Megill, Williams, Hader, Knebel, Jeffress, Rodriguez).
Brewers hovering near middle of the pack despite 1. Underwhelming start to the season and 2. The smallest metro area in the league. Can only guess they'd be near the top in attendance per capita.
This is an interesting chart tracking the YoY change in MLB attendance by team.
The Mets, Tigers, and Royals are up big, while the Cardinals, Orioles, and Pirates have dropped 10-20%.
The A's are up 65% (but still have MLB's 2nd worst attendance).
