This week, I met my teacher candidates in my two courses β Outdoor Education and Foundations III. We had a lot of fun connecting and creating an environment for amazing learning. This is the final term for these students as they look forward to their journey in education. #OT_FED
Sunrise on Copper Lake in the Kawartha Highlands Provincial Park. What picture doesn't tell you was the heat exhaustion, rehydration, and cooling breaks we had to take to get to our campsite. #canoeing
It was a lot of fun to kick off the Nature TRek (Therapeutic Recreation) program at the @AbilitiesCentre. Finding north, map reading, and nature games were enjoyed by both participants and staff. Nature is the best therapy.
@averagehiker Trains, plains and automobiles. I once camped 200m from the tracks in Northern Ontario only to have the night crew show up for major repairs. I feel your pain. Good luck on your next adventure!
It's another wrap. It was a pleasure to teach the Outdoor Pursuits students at Sinclair S.S. in Whitby. In addition to their high school credits, they earned a Field Studies credit from #FlemingCollege. #DDSB#outdoorlearning
