The DOJ is removing years of online records about Capitol riot prosecutions, saying the case pages were “partisan propaganda” tied to the Biden-era Justice Department.
The erased releases tracked hundreds of criminal cases stemming from the 2021 Capitol breach, including convictions for violent assaults on police officers.
At the same time, the administration is opening a $1.776 billion fund for people who claim they were unfairly investigated or prosecuted — and officials haven’t ruled out compensation for convicted Jan. 6 rioters.
