4/ Then Trump signed a ceasefire deal with Tehran that gave Iran control of the Strait (and released sanctions!). Just a horrible mistake (probably just basic incompetence).

6/ The biggest problem with this strategy is that Iran knows Trump can't bomb forever. Why?

First, as long as the war is ongoing, the Strait remains closed and gas prices rise. Trump won't keep it up as the midterms near.

8/ Trump has no way out. Iran is emboldened. Their hardliners have control, and they likely aren't going to do a meaningful nuclear deal or give up control of the Strait.

And more strikes just weaken America militarily and economically.
