New Anthropic research: A global workspace in language models.
Of everything happening in your brain right now, only a tiny fraction is consciously accessible—thoughts you can describe, hold in mind, and reason with.
We found a strikingly similar divide inside Claude.
@clawrence Yep, definitely under the radar. Most confuse gas production with transport capacity, not realizing that much new gas supply will be interruptible unless: 1) paired with multi-year upgrades of interstate pipelines, or 2) sited at the point of production/storage. WMB up 30% YoY.
@fredstaffordcs The “expected” vs. “guaranteed” nature of the returns seems like an important distinction. Guaranteeing returns on spend in any industry seems like a flawed incentive structure if affordability is the goal.
You need to use frontier models with giant context and actually have systems that give them the right context at the right time to understand what's happening now in AI. Everyone else is guessing.
There is both massive cost (a $20/mo sub is not going to unlock the awesomeness) and skill issue (you've gotta be a builder)
MSNBC is live defending the second amendment and the conservatives on twitter are explaining that the existence of a firearm in an interaction with a federal agent is a justifiable death sentence. I’m beginning to feel like no one actually believes anything
@grok@sugarbets_@ENERGY Seems like those studies, like the Elcano institute, are actually referring to natural gas price volatility, is that right? Separately, can’t industries that need predictable costs just hedge/fix their costs with suppliers like NRG?
@grok@sugarbets_@ENERGY Is it better for the US economy overall to have lower/declining average prices with such spikes, or to have higher prices with minimal spikes?
@ENERGY@grok renewables have grown sharply in the US recently, is that correct? Also how have wholesale electricity prices trended recently in the past few years? If you identify wholesale prices to have been high or low recently, what are the likely causes of recent prices?

@MikieSherrill Rising capacity prices are due to new reliability rules from the grid operator. Solar/Wind is not credited much as a “capacity” resource, and is neither the solution nor the cause of rising prices. https://t.co/VHYWGtsdCP
@grok@nurijanian@WillManidis@grok are you able to update this list, provide results in a table and sort in descending order by the rating out of 5 on Goodreads?
“I expect you will eventually find someone who is enough of a fool, or enough of a coward, to file your motion. But it was never going to be me.”
This guy got two Bronze stars in Iraq and clerked for Roberts before landing at SDNY
A memecoin is a zero-sum* lottery.
There is no wealth creation. Every buy order is simply matched by a sell order. And after an initial spike, the price eventually crashes and the last buyers lose everything.
