Be kind to others as well as yourself.
@Bigqadi Dumb? I dunno about that. Other countries are just willing to spend a little more to better the quality of life for everyone (something America seems actively hostile against). So dumb? No. Greedy to the point that we cut ourselves off at the knees? Yup.
@matthughson I don't like forced damage. It works, but I don't think I'd think of that as the way to get in there. Maybe have blocks that 'toggle off' as the official way in there and the 'damage boost' method could be a speedrun strat or something like this.
@Ninacola3 I just saw that your YouTube channel got taken down. Sorry to see that! Hope you're well. Do you plan to start another YouTube channel or just post elsewhere?
(3/2) Build something that you can look back and say "I'm proud of what I learned and I'm proud of what I made - and I hope you like it too." That's it. Life is too short to spend it worrying about what others think. Build something you love and share it with people you love.
(2/2) The thing is - and you can't forget this - if other people like your game that is EXTRA. The point is to spend time building something that YOU love, something that brings personal satisfaction and fulfillment from YOU.
(1/2) Sometimes I think about how there's SO MANY games now and what's the breaking point for that. Like, so many games go unnoticed - i.e. so many years of work go unnoticed - that sometimes it's hard to keep going with those odds.
@KyleThompsonDev Absolutely loved Islets (my Game of the Year for 2022!) so very much looking forward to this. I loved the tone, pacing, music and the fact is wasn't too hard. Definitely gonna get this one! :)
@Mangalawyer Prince of Persia (2008) is a great game! Enjoyed it then and enjoy it now. The only part that's admittedly annoying is the combat. >_< But loved the dynamic between these two.
@AdventIslands So good! Also love the fact that the camera is locked during all this. I see so many indie games that look similar but the camera bobs up and down when you jump (which to me shouldn't happen unless the camera is telling you there's more to explore above, ya know?)
@Dualmask Oh, that's cool! I don't know how to use Blender at all. I used it a *little* bit when I was neck-deep into drawing my manga, but haven't looked at it in years. Very cool! :)
