Proud of them for showing up every day, especially through the tough stretches, competing and not giving up knowing we were much younger and smaller than everybody else. This team is special, the experience gained will catapult us into champions soon enough. Onto the weight room!

Year 2 is a wrap. Not the outcome we wanted, but competing into the section semi’s and showing that we can hang, and letting teams know that we’ll be around for years to come is all I can ask for from such a young group of players.

Funny part about Trout BP isn’t the step back or anything lower half. It’s how in BP, he always finishes w/ one hand, yet in game is always a 2 hand snap finish. So many elite hitters have different styles in BP than game, yet so many young hitters try to treat BP like the game.

John Sterling was a special part of New York, and a special part of my childhood. Every Sunday coming home from tournaments my family and I would listen to him call Yankee games. “You can’t predict baseball, Suzyn” or “that’s baseball, Suzyn” was a common phrase in my household.

Twitter Coaches: My varsity team is struggling. We’re an extremely young group, only 1 senior, a ton of freshmen and an 8th grader at SS in our daily lineup. Our program unfortunately doesn’t have the numbers to fill out a JV team, and it’s clear as day how much smaller we are…

Than every team we play. We also play bigger schools as the class we are in doesn’t have enough teams. My staff and I are trying everything we can to keep our heads above water, keep the vibes high etc but man are we getting beat down. Any advice on how to turn this thing around?
