Rashan Gary on how he fits in the 3-4:
“Film speak for itself, but man, I'm a dog, man. I play with a lot of effort, cause a lot of pressure. I don't feel nobody like to go against me. I'm just bringing the same energy, same hustle, same mentality.”
Brian Schottenheimer said he's been "blown away" by new Cowboys pass rusher Rashan Gary's professionalism. Cowboys acquired Gary from Green Bay this off-season.
"He's a grown-ass man."

Yes, the Cowboys did call on Sweat yesterday, but were turned away. TB sent an offer of a 4th, but were denied. Sweat wants Green Bay, and if that fizzles out, the Eagles are his #2.
Now agreed to and official: The #Browns are trading Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett to the #Rams for star edge Jared Verse, a 2027 1st-round, a 2028 2nd round, and a 2029 3rd, per me, @AdamSchefter and @TomPelissero.
The offseason's biggest trade is final and real.
According to a report from Jeremy Fowler, George Pickens' agent, David Mulugheta, "looked around" during draft weekend to gauge his market before signing the franchise tag.

Cowboys DC Christian Parker: This is our defense. I don’t want it to be called the Eagles defense or Vic’s defense. This is going to be ours. We’ve been really intentional about going about that process, from the language that we use, the workflow that we have. So it’s been fun.
Cowboys pass rush specialist BT Jordan has already earned the praise of first-round pick Malachi Lawrence:
"I'm just taking my game and evolving it with Coach BT Jordan. He was with the Broncos last year, and I believe they broke the sack record for the NFL. Just knowing that I get to work with a guy like him, it's going to be good."
Highlights from new Cowboys LB Dee Winters’ conference call with media:
- Wasn’t expecting a trade, was surprised to get the call
- Said he’s not familiar with the 3-4 scheme but that he’s learning the playbook now
- Christian Parker wants him in space, to “run-and-hit” to maximize his physicality
- First took on some green-dot responsibilities last season. “There’s a first time for everything, and I’m willing to do whatever it takes.”
- Was moving into a house in Arlington when he got the trade call
- He grew up watching the Cowboys with his family, excited to be able to put the jersey on for the first time
- Took his 30-visit with the Cowboys alongside DeMarvion Overshown in 2023
What does it mean?
1. He’s locked in under Cowboys’ control for $27,298,000 for 2026.
2. The team has until July 15 to work out a long-term deal, although they came out last week and said they won’t be negotiating a long-term contract with him this offseason. After July 15, they can only agree to a re-worked one-year deal.
3. With voluntary workouts beginning this week, Pickens hasn’t participated yet. He is not required to show up until June 16-18 for mandatory minicamp, meaning he could hold out from voluntary workouts and OTAs without being fined.
4. Signing the tag allows the Cowboys to trade him if they wish at any point. Dallas has stated its intentions to not do that, but it’s a consideration everyone has to consider if this drags on all summer.
The signing of the tender guarantees Pickens $27.3 million for this season. It gives him injury protection as well. Yes, theoretically, it opens up the possibility of a trade, but Stephen Jones said the Cowboys have no intention of dealing him.
New Cowboys rookie DB Caleb Downs on @1053thefan: “I can’t say I grew up being a Cowboys fan, being from Atlanta. I always respect people that win at a high level. They won at a high level back in the day. I always respected winners. Jerry Jones has done a good job branding the team and everything. They have a great brand to be a part of. I’m excited to be a part of it and do my part.”
Marquez Valdes-Scantling has a 1-year deal with the Cowboys that counts $1.26m against the cap and a $187,500 signing bonus. Depth addition. Nothing to do with what may or may not happen with George Pickens. In the last two years, he has 50 catches for 531 yards and five TDs.
Cowboys have signed three players to one-year deals today:
WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling
WR Tyler Johnson
LB Curtis Robinson
Veteran depth at WR that the team has used to elevate the bottom of the room in the past & a rotational linebacker who has S/T experience in San Francisco.
