"your most important daily dashboard shouldn't be the news, your email, or even your business metrics, but your personal health metrics"
This. This is the single thing we (as per society) are grossly overlooking because of our inherent denial of death.

HOW AGING BIOMARKERS WORK
An aging biomarker is something that predicts how old you are on a molecular level.
You calibrate it by looking at the levels of markers in healthy people, and also those who are getting up in age. As people pass away, you calibrate the measure. For example, a person with a measure of X1 on marker Y passed away in N years, but a person with measure X2 lived more like N+5 years. Yes, it's a bit morbid, but it's just like actuarial tables[0].
Aging biomarkers aren't perfect. There's always the possibility of a biological Goodhart's law[1]. In that case you'd find a marker, and try to influence it directly by working out or eating right or taking supplements... but then subsequently realize that improving the marker doesn't causally improve your biological age.
Still, if you have enough different markers, it's probably difficult to move them all in the right direction without actually improving your health. At least, that's the theory.
The reason we should see more apps like this — like the next iteration of Fitbit or Apple Watch — is that your most important daily dashboard shouldn't be the news, your email, or even your business metrics, but your personal health metrics.
We're still underinvested socially and technologically in continuous diagnostics. We can and should do much more of this. Here's the app in the screenshot[2], and a recent review of longevity biomarkers[3].

If Trump wins, the right response for Europe is not to cry publicly, but to take a deep breath and return with a wise plan for rebalancing in NATO to save it.
And boost European support for Ukraine like now.
Putin wants Trump to win. There's no serious debate about that. Does Putin want America to be weak or strong? There's no serious debate about that either.
Why would you vote for the candidate Putin wants you to vote for?
On this day in 2001 Ukraine eliminated its last nuclear delivery vehicle.
Their reward was being invaded by russia, having cities bombed into dust while the West expresses "serious concerns" and rants about "escalation management."

I think some of the birthrate decline can be attributed to two forces happening everywhere: increasing complexity, and decreasing hardship. Life is too complex and too 'good.' I'll try to explain

It is already known that the configuration of our Solar System, a single star with planets around it, is something that is not really a standard in our Galaxy.
A lot of Systems have two Stars, for example, a binary system, and there are even weirder ones with many stars. In Comparison, our System seems boring. 🥱

THIS IS A HUGE ACHIEVEMENT:
The EU now generates more electricity from wind and solar than from fossil fuels.

The FSB has allowed the largest data leak. It's not just about the electronic documents that were published by "Important Stories" and "Ukrainian Truth", but the Ukrainian side has also gotten its hands on the documentation of all Russian structures in the Kursk region.
