@US_Stormwatch 97° ties their 97° on 7/19/2023. They topped out at 119° on the 19th and 20th that summer & 14 days set or tied record high mins.
July, 2023 was their hottest month on record at 102.7° with everyday 110°+.
In the direct sun off the concrete/asphalt it was ~170°.

Check out this storm that blew-up over southern Ocean County, NJ this afternoon and kept back building until sunset. Stafford Township 5.38" & Surf City 4.36" of rain! And that nasty smoke which will hang around through Fri. Air quality alerts all/parts of 20 states

Montana is 🔥 🔥 🔥: Glendive 113° and Billings 110° at 3 PM MT. That's the hottest on #record in Billings, back to 1934, topping 108° on 7/14/2002.

50 years ago I attended my favorite 70s concert benefiting Jerry Brown's presidential campaign. The Eagles including Joe Walsh + Linda Ronstadt, Dan Fogelberg & Jackson Browne played from 8 PM - 12:50 AM. $9.75 = $57.06 today. Ticket prices have way outpaced inflation!

AMAZING photos from Rehoboth Beach, DE! The moist outflow from one storm (shelf cloud.....back center & right) is being lifted up by the updraft of the next storm, plus the obligatory scud in the foreground. Just gorgeous!

Yesterday it was 86° in Washington, DC. Not only a #record high but the warmest so early in the season. Now 24 hours later it's 50°+ colder with 2" of snow on the ground in Burke, VA
