At first glance, it looks like just another beautiful infinity pool on Lake Como. Except it isn’t!
This jaw-dropping 40-metre floating pool at the Mandarin Oriental, Lago di Como wasn't actually built into the shoreline. It was meticulously engineered like a massive catamaran, manufactured in Finland, transported across Europe to Italy, and securely anchored directly to the lakebed!
When you pair this engineering marvel with their historic 19th-century villas, a world-class subterranean spa, lush lakefront botanical gardens, and views that honestly don't seem real, it is easy to see why so many people consider this one of the most spectacular luxury hotels in Italy.
