From first stream to twitch affiliate! Just a little progress post. Thankful for all who have supported and will forever be grateful for all those who support in the future. Still a long way to go, but I’m ready for the journey :) #twitch#twitchaffiliate#streamer#gaming#gamer
If Marathon were to die, I'd never play another extraction shooter again, because none of the ones out there today come close to it in terms of quality and artistic style.
MAGA says they'll boycott The Odyssey. Which means they won't go to movie theaters to see it. Which means you'll see a great movie but you won't see MAGA...
Not only did Nolan create a great movie but he created a great ambience too. Freakin genius.
New Vault Breaker thoughts:
If you’re an experienced Marathon player and have killed the compiler plenty of times, this mode PROBABLY isn’t for you.
If you’re an inexperienced Cryo player, I think this mode is VERY cool! You’ll learn the map. You’ll learn the battery and clearance system. You’ll learn the vaults. You’ll eventually even build up enough strength and momentum to get to the compiler.
Cryo is SO cool. It was such a shame so few people really got to experience it. Vault Breaker fixes that, and lets people experience the greatness that is Cryo without the fear of gear loss or PvP meta issues.
Also, killing the compiler will still be a difficult task. Clearing 3 vaults, doing DNA sequence, and getting through the compiler with less than ideal kits will be a challenge, so the prestige of clearing the compiler is still a thing.
Will this save Marathon? Probably not. But definitely a good thing for the game and a good step forward.
I can’t believe we get both The Odyssey, new spiderman, Doomsday and Dune 3 this year. I haven’t been this hyped for movies in a single year in a while.
crazy how the best shooter of the decade with the best art direction I've ever seen from a game can be struggling this much just because
a) the average gamer cannot handle losing at all
b) execs and online losers jerk off over steam charts, financial targets, and concurrent player numbers, all day long
Hey everyone I've got a bit of an announcement to make. Today, Friday 7/17, will be my last day at Bungie and I'll be passing the torch of Game Director to the very capable and amazing hands of Del Chafe III, who will guide the game forward alongside the Creative Director Julia Nardin. Both of them have been operating in a strong leadership capacity for the team and are ready to guide Marathon into the next chapter with an even better and brighter future. I'm proud of them and I'm excited to see them helm the future of this crazy little world we've created together. As for me, I'll be heading to something new, somewhere else, and will update you on where and what soon. I just want to say a deeply heartfelt thank you to all of you for supporting me and Marathon in our windy mission to bring a dark and terrifying space survival frontier to your screen. The mission will continue in new and surprising ways so stay tuned for what this team has in store for you! It's been a pleasure seeing all the stories you've created, all the clever ways you've found ways to murder robots and one another. Hopefully as I move onto new things, you'll join me for those adventures as well. Much love to the Marathon community and to all my friends and colleagues at Bungie. May we cross paths again. Keep it weird, keep it real <3.

Hey everyone, we know we've been a little quiet out here - but, as we get closer to the mid-Season 2 update, we wanted to take a chance to get the ball rolling again.
Later this week we'll be sharing a blog covering some of the mid-Season 2 updates, including balance changes, details on Vault Breaker, a few much-needed weapon adjustments, and details on a buff to Cradle progression. But, in the meantime, our ear is to the ground. We want to know what you're feeling. What's on your mind?
I believe in re-reading and re-watching your favourite books and movies at different stages of your life. the plot never changes, but your perspective does.
