I cannot overstate how much I loathe this emotional blackmail pretending to be concern.

My kids, god willing, will be risk takers. They won't think constantly about whether a flippant comment or a wrong viewpoint will follow them around for the rest of their lives.

They will tell stupid jokes. They will develop views that they later think are wrong or even gross. I made mistakes as a kid, and thank God I grew up in a culture that encouraged me to grow and learn and feel remorse when I screwed up and offer grace when others did.

The TicTok ban is a good thing! It's owned by the Chinese communist government and run in foreign countries for the express purpose of collecting data for artificial intelligence learning, facial recognition, and espionage and for spreading propaganda and ideology that weakens western values and sows unrest. The ban could've been avoided if China would sell to a domestic owner but they won't because their algorithmic psyop is too valuable as a weapon. Nobody's freedom of speech is being infringed. You can say whatever you want on a half a dozen other apps. The CCP is a nefarious actor and it should be banned from the USA.
