Min Aung Hlaing, head of the military junta, is currently in Bangkok for the 6th Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) Summit.

On April 1, 2025, the court in #Argentina which previously issued an arrest warrant for Min Aung Hlaing officially sent notice of the arrest warrant to #INTERPOL , requesting that if he is found in any INTERPOL member state, the Court is informed in order to proceed with a formal extradition request.

This court action followed @brouklondon Burmese #Rohingya Organisation UK informing the court that #MinAungHlaing was traveling to the #BIMSTEC summit in #Thailand .Thailand has been a member of INTERPOL since 1951.
