If I had to point people to one clip that powerfully summarized Tim Keller’s ministry, it would have to be this classic 🔥🔥🔥 right here:

The death of @timkellernyc is an incalculable loss to the church, the world, to those of us who loved him, those of us he helped in our darkest hours.
This is gain for Tim, now in the presence of Christ. He need no longer explain the reason for God, just to enjoy him forever.
To say I love this man is an understatement. No way to talk enough about his humility, generosity, and kindness. Even after his diagnosis, he’s spent the last few years giving so much of himself. Praying for rest and deep meaningful time together in the days ahead for his family
Friendly reminder:
If you want to hear God speak to you, read the Bible.
If you want to hear God speak to you out loud, read the Bible out loud.
There is no surer way to know what God thinks about you, what God wants for you, and what God wants from you than to read His Word.
Quoting DA Carson here (from my suffering book) about how something can be true theologically, and yet at the same time the application of that truth is done inappropriately. So many of our public discourse is marred in this way.
So, in order for me to watch my local team, @CharlotteFC, I have to pay for the full MLS Pass on AppleTV, on top of the regular subscription for AppleTV+. But hey, I could save $2 a month on the MLS Pass since I’m already subscribed to TV+…Wow, what a deal!
The Bible teaches that the church is a family, God's family and ours. In the church, then, we must let ourselves be transparent and accountable to others (Heb 3:13), like in healthy families. We don't just 'attend' church.
THREAD: 🧵OK, let's have a chat in light of the recent Twitter dustups about some of my posts to clarify some things.
1) Many of my tweets a) are quotes taken from my books and sermons—most from years ago, b) many are re-used every 1-3 years. Hence.../1
Ok. So I was ***today*** years old when I learned that Frederick Douglass read Charles Spurgeon’s sermons and that they corresponded with each other through letters! How did I not know this? It’s included in the “Appreciative Correspondents” in Spurgeon’s autobiography.
The letter Frederick Douglass wrote to the enslaver he had escaped from is the things most heart-wrenching things I’ve ever read. Rhetorically brilliant & profoundly Christian. Douglass should be required reading in Christian education. This part about his kids though: 😢😢
Merry Christmas!
He had to be held by the very hands he knitted together while Mary was in her mother’s womb.
He had to learn how to walk on the very ground that he formed out of nothing.
He grew in wisdom and stature as he grew with time, the very thing that he kept ticking.
I kid you not I saw a bald eagle swoop down and catch a fish in the lake outside my office window this morning. The most American thing that could happen on gameday. The @USMNT is winning the game today!
Praise the Lord as one of our Pillar churches, King's Cross, not only celebrated their five year anniversary this past Sunday, but they also commissioned their very first church plant, Redeemer Church!

Pray for Redeemer as they start their gospel work in the Greensboro area.
