This is sad 💔
This has been on my mind. We spend so much energy making TV shows like BBNaija to trend — but what about the people changing lives behind the scenes?
My very dear friend, Dr. Akinola Odedeyi (@AOdedeyi41151), just won Nigeria’s Best Medical Brain Award 🧠 for his work on stroke prevention. A huge win for science — and for every researcher, teacher, doctor, or professional whose efforts often go unnoticed.
We know how to trend. We’ve proven it with #BBNaija. Now let’s use that same power to celebrate those making real impact. 🌍✨
*Challenge:* Tag someone who deserves the spotlight for their important work, and tell us why. Let’s make this bigger than a moment. Use the algorithm to trend that special person you believe deserves more limelight than the housemates!
Please watch and share this video if you see this. Let us use this to inspire and challenge more people to be exceptional in what they do. #BestMedicalBrain

“We Have Been Attending Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) For Over 20 Years. My Parents Were Paying Tithe For Over 20 Years But When My Mom Got Sick And We Reached Out To The Church For Assistance They Refused To Help. Eventually My Mom Died And Not a Single Person From The Church Attended Her Funeral”.-Lady Calls Out RCCG
📍Update:
Carlos Baleba and his agent just got the word this lunchtime from @OfficialBHAFC that @ManUtd has officially made their move 💣
They’ve reached out through the right channels, and it was done respectfully.
Baleba’s been told that if a respectable bid comes in, serious talks will start.
What’s interesting is that André Onana 🧤is stepping in to help out.
He’s using his connections and their shared Cameroon 🇨🇲 background to sway Baleba, telling him that Manchester United is the place to be, even without @ChampionsLeague football.
When I said Nigerians don’t really want good governance but rather power that benefits them, this is exactly the kind of example I meant.
You call yourself a philanthropist who cares about children in the slums, yet you visited the very man whose party has thrown over 20 million children out of school and left millions more at risk of dying from malnutrition.
If you truly cared about those children, you wouldn’t be visiting Tinubu, you’d have told him to meet you in the slums. That’s where the children are. That’s where the suffering is. But of course, optics and recognition matter more than principle these days.
Let’s be honest, if you truly cared about good governance for these poor kids, you wouldn’t be smiling beside a president whose administration is choking the nation. Fela, Chinua Achebe, and other real patriots would never accept an invitation from such a leader, let alone show up bearing gifts.
You’re a chess master, yet you didn’t see that this was a political chess move by Tinubu. Just like Davido, you’ve now been used; whether you realise it or not as part of a subtle celebrity endorsement strategy.
It hurts to say, but Nigerians are not politically smart. We’re swayed by recognition and personal interest. That’s why the same people keep winning. That’s why so-called “good governance activists” keep preaching, “Don’t make enemies because of politics.” You say you want good governance, but you’re trying to stay friends with people who are comfortable with a government that’s killing Nigerians.
Let’s not lie, you don’t care about Nigeria. You’re just looking for an opportunity to join the ruling class. A person who truly feels the weight of what ordinary Nigerians are going through will never be seen laughing with the people responsible for our pain or their supporters.
At this rate, we’ll never wrestle power from their hands.
