"the dev with problematic fb posts from 15 years ago told me to be a better human"
yeah that's what growing up looks like. you used to do dumb shit and then you stopped doing it. you don't continue doing dumb shit your whole life to own the libs or whatever
@remarks Make sure you keep up the good fight folks!
Dont stop until every flock camera is down and the CEO in jail for treason against the constitution
Blizzard has removed some WoW Forever beta players' access because of their offensive character names
A senior producer said he read the list and has "no sympathy ... be a better human next time"
@Jerry_Nyx Teachers when the law prevents them from properly punishing bullies and defending the innocent.
Laws have made American schools punish the bully and bullied identically and not assign blame to the bully for being a shithead. This needs to go and appropriate punishment needed
I played from Vanilla to Cataclysm and quit because it stopped feeling the same.
I kept trying to return hoping things were different, Pandaria, WoD, then Dragonflight, never there for more than a week or two, and for me it was progressively worse every time and mirrored the same modern game design I see in countless other games.
-QoL ruining discovery
-Matchmaking and raid finder ruining community
-Soft narratives and designs ruining the fantasy
-Monetization ruining progress and rewards
As one of the most cynical people out there, I didn't think Blizzard had it in them, I didn't think they had the talent, vision, competence, or care for what the game used to represent, and to my shock, they delivered.
Meeting people in the wild, joining groups to complete quests, funny one off moments, server wide drama.
Last night I traveled across the Easter Kingdoms with a group of people just to try the Under City dungeon, all of us dying, laughing, chatting, and making the journey together.
The sense of discovery is back.
The sense of scale is back.
The sense of community is back.
And until Blizzard gives me a reason not to, which to be clear they are very good at doing,
I'm back.
@sharnasaurus It’s a perfect look providing clarity to the already clear picture that Forever is Classic+, not retail-
It needs to be said on repeat by the devs to ensure retail players understand they need to acclimate to classic philosophy rather than suggest changes that make it retail-
@Skys___TheLimit Classic+ is in the name: Classic but more.
Forever is Classic+, as stated by Holly Longdale and the developer post you replied to
There’s no confusion by Classic Andys, only confusion from retail Andys who apparently unanimously didn’t get the memo that Classic+ isn’t retail-
As a retail player…
I’m sorry but he clocked it. 🤷♂️
I knew that when Classic + was out, I was going to have to adjust to the rules of Vanilla… NOT the other way around.
I think there’s room for improvement, sure but it’s an amazing game and I’m glad they are holding the -
@yo_jaydee That’s the misunderstanding.
Forever is sending invitations to all WoW players. But the house the invitation directs to is the new Classic plus house built next door to the Classic mansion, not to the retail mega complex.
before you call for a ban of asmon, imagine how much chiller jan 6 would have been if the ppl in his guild were busy raiding the horde capitol instead of the american one
@onyxicca Reminder: Forever is Classic+, not retail minus.
Devs have confirmed that, Forever is Classic experience while learning from all the mistakes Retail made over the years
@Laganish Nah, the chaos isn’t from not being well defined. Classic plus is pretty well defined on what they don’t want: retail, and the bricks laid to get there
The chaos is being stoked by retail Andys saying their favorite retail-isms should be implemented in WoW forever
Hold the line
