After a fantastic time yesterday @BedsFestival, Bel Canto have been awarded the Choral Society Cup and prize for most oustanding choir and invited to perform at the Festival Gala Concert Saturday 9th March. Congratulations girls! #BGSBold, #BGSMusic, @BedfordGirlsSch, @BGS_Arts
@Thamer76@ruskin147 Same - it’s ‘th’, but most people say ‘t’!Yes, Arabic for a date palm, I believe. And a male name, yes! I discovered that when I registered with a new GP practice years ago and one of the (male) doctors was called Thamer. This is craziest conversation!
@Thamer76@ruskin147 Is Thamer your first name? I’ve never come across another female Thamer apart from my Grandmother, after whom I was named. I’m also Manchester born!
@SarahEFranklin I was about to embrace your unusual forgetfulness with open arms and tell you that I couldn’t remember the word ‘wall’ the other day, and then I realised it was nothing to do with your memory and everything to do with your village life! Damn!
What an evening at the @BedsFestival Gala Concert! Amazing performances, packed venue and tireless dedication from the organisers, accompanists and adjudicators. Many thanks to all those involved. Meg had a ball! @BGS_MusicDept@BGS_Arts
@UKAdrianReed But thinking shouldn’t be confined to the home-working element of hybrid working. I’m more than comfortable with colleagues staring out of the window in the office. And other forms of thinking might be interactive and best done in the office, e.g.whiteboarding.
@SarahEFranklin I think you might be right. But, unfortunately, that puts us on the wrong side of the pond, and whilst there’s (some) justification for that in your case, there’s none in mine… Can’t we just concede defeat? 🤷♀️🤣
