@SleeperPirates To give answers I haven’t read seen yet that I’m also excited about:
Brandan Bidois and Esmerlyn Valdez.
If you want major leaguers, then Gregory Soto and Spencer Horwitz
@BuccoBallBlog Every time I get excited by the thought of Skenes and Griffin I remember how the angels had Trout and Ohtani for 6 years and never made the playoffs
@Sportipedia1@efisher330 They’ve got Kurtz at 1B and Rooker at DH, so it’s hard to find a long term spot for Soderstrom. I guess he was passable in LF, but they’ve got other outfielders too. If the Pirates gave them a good pitcher (Keller? Burrows? Barco?) it could make sense for them
@DTonPirates This is the 3rd year in a row Triolo has ended the season on a hot streak. I don’t want him to be handed a starting job next season for that reason. I’m fine with giving him a path to a starting job if he continues to play well, but I wouldn’t count on it
@SalVetriDFS Waiting too long for both QB and TE. It absolutely can work but if you don’t hit on at least one late QB or TE you’re at a bigger disadvantage than your edge at WR/RB can provide
@kgriffinburner @Wrigley_pain25 You’re setting the bar way too high. They got 15+ fWAR out of Meadows, Glasnow, and Baz and traded Meadows for Paredes who got them 7+ fWAR. That’s more than 20 fWAR all because they traded CHRIS ARCHER. Who gives a shit if they didn’t win a WS, that’s insane value.
@Wrigley_pain25 @kgriffinburner Meadows: 4.3 fWAR in 2019, traded for Isaac Paredes who was an all star for TB
Glasnow: 9.3 fWAR from 2019-23, elite when healthy. Traded for Ryan Pepiot, their current ace.
Baz: a 4th/5th SP, but still a useful player.
Literally the most impactful trade TB has made lol what
@EricCrossMLB Yankees fans overvaluing their prospects is a tale as old as times. Just look at any mock trade they’ve ever made for Skenes if you want to see some egregious examples
