He highlighted the importance of prioritising #EnergyEfficiency over #RenewableEnergy, referencing the Energy Conservation Act (2001) and the #BureauofEnergyEfficiency’s (BEE) pivotal role in advancing these efforts. Mr. Deore highlighted India’s achievement as the top-performing G20 country in the Climate Change Performance Index, ranking 7th globally, which reflects the nation’s steadfast commitment to its climate objectives.
