Thankfully, this is just an advisory and not actual restrictions. I know how scary the past 24 hours have been for binational families, and this is exactly why our advocacy continues on. Now more than ever, it’s important to implement Donna’s Rule.

My wife became ill in February 2020. diagnosed in need of a transplant. On dialysis for months at home. Our children over 21 blocked at the border, no compassionate exemptions never able to see their mother even one last time. She died Aug 20. NHL got exemptions but not my family

The current Omicron related travel restrictions enacted by @GovCanHealth have no family or compassionate exemptions. We proved in our campaign for family reunification that family members can enter Canada safely, alleviating many other health harms, while protecting the public.
