in a patriarchal world, women are always seen in relation to men, our existence is reduced to how useful we are to them or how they perceive us. even when it comes to a painful and under researched disorder affecting millions of women, they choose to focus on men.
indian men with property rights/head of the family status is so fucked up at times. The women endure all violence due to the power held by men, that let's them stay in the house. For food and shelter.
The women who couldn't fight all odds, get any independence stay in abusive
I'd love to see half of the Indian liberals that are mourning Tata's death mourn the state-sanctioned murder of G.N. Saibaba, a man who, with what little he had worked tirelessly for human rights for the marginalized.
But we both know that will never happen.
Rest in power, sir.
This just shows how non threatening men seem to other men as majority never encountered anything horrific & how women feel the need to distance themselves/ take care of their surroundings instinctively to just survive.
This is instinctive living by both genders, not simplicity
Everybody is outraging about what happened at EY. Everyone is talking about toxic work culture and how their bosses are exploiting them. Everyone is searching for 'solutions'.
Dear workers (yes, we are workers), the only solution is: Unionise. Unionise. Unionise.
Found a doctor on a WhatsApp group for justice for Abhaya. He had molested me and others in our first year of MBBS during a viva exam where he was an examiner. Here he is, seeking justice for another victim after having molested us. Pretending to be some amazing benevolent man by donating things to the protesting doctors. The irony.
I called him out to be immediately met with disbelief from other doctors who have known him for years, as usual. This is how they live amongst us. Wolf in sheep’s clothing. I will not remain silent. I will not look the other way. I will not contribute to the problem.
The time for molesters is up. It’s time to face your truth. I will not carry your shame and guilt. You do it, loser. Shame on you.
