I don’t think Kevin McGonigle is getting enough love.
He’s a 21 year old that won the starting job in Spring Training literally just by forcing the hand of the organization. That was NOT the plan.
And now because the Tigers season hasn’t gone to plan we are talking more about that than the fact that there’s this 21 year old kid that’s going to be an All-Star putting up elite numbers while being the Tigers best player and playing every day.
Kevin McGonigle is a star and I’m happy he’s a Detroit Tiger for a long time to come.
On this date in 2004, Tayshaun Prince came out of nowhere to chase down Reggie Miller for one of the most iconic blocks in NBA playoff history.
With the Pistons leading 69-67 in Game 2 of the East Finals and under 20 seconds left, Prince denied what looked like a game-tying layup attempt from Miller.
Detroit went on to win 72-67, holding Indiana to just 27.5% shooting.
@patrickc Restaurant scene: Detroit’s food scene is highly regarded as one of the most underrated and exciting in the Midwest, celebrated for its rich multicultural roots, and booming culinary renaissance. You can experience everything from James Beard-nominated restaurants.
The Lions got a lot of heat for their 2023 draft class.
Jack Campbell becomes the first player extended from that class, with deals for RB Jahmyr Gibbs, TE Sam LaPorta and DB Brian Branch as logical to get done at some point too.
GM Brad Holmes has always believed in his scouting department’s board and that class has really paid off 🫡
Like father like son: Charles Woodson Jr. has committed to the University of Michigan. He’s a four-star defensive back from Orlando (Fla.) Lake Nona who is the son of former Heisman Trophy winner Charles Woodson.
