@MerlinLarsonMD1 Bonica 1st true pain physician I think with lots of innovations - motivated by his wife’s experiences in childbirth and later, most likely, by his own issues brought upon by his early days as a wrestler his first book 📕 amazing
A more obvious version (I think) of an exam maneuver I tried to illustrate last week on a different patient. Let's try again. On which side is the effusion (ie, which lung doesn't expand as well as the other)?
@JeromeAdamsMD@Mikeska Not Dr Novax Yet I think the long term effects of mRNA vaccines are unknown and different from traditional vaccines we and our children have been subjected to - if they don’t prevent transmission???
@MedChanning Count(ed) me out too but I love many of the NS and CTS I have known and worked with (more neuro than chest cutters) but it’s a special world and high high pressure
@MichaelGalvezMD@UCBerkeley Berkeley used to encourage community college students as transfer candidates - eased the overcrowding and with good grades they appreciated the track record and the commitment to advancement I graduated UCB in 1987 with a major in English Literature
@MerlinLarsonMD1 Great article - things change - pharmacology advances - but the basic fundamental principles issues and points of conflict remain the same
@MerlinLarsonMD1 That’s a classic Frank Netter drawing I had all the Netter volumes at one point but they ended up in our departmental library when I retired - hope they have not gone to pulp! A former colleague used to give subq ephedrine as he infiltrated local before he’d do the spinal
@MerlinLarsonMD1 Easy to blame or criticize better to be kind and accepting can’t count the number of times a colleague has come to help me in a tight situation and I always tried to be available to help others bridges go both ways so best not to burn
@MerlinLarsonMD1 I sent you an email re Sinatra is he in pain management and still loosely affiliated with Yale? Came across his website and CV I’d never heard of him!
