50 years ago today, an estimated 600,000 fans witnessed the Dead during the Summer Jam at Watkins Glen Grand Prix Raceway outside of Watkins Glen, NY. The July 28, 1973 festival long held the Guinness Book of World Records entry for "largest audience at a pop festival” and featured special extended sets from the Dead, Allman Brothers Band, and the Band and a once-in-a-lifetime jam session featuring players from all three bands.

Gearing up to stream the penultimate @deadandcompany show on @nugsnet. Holding onto hope they'll find a way to add a few more shows or 4-5 more full summer tours 😎
The music never stopped!
Word travels fast and we wanted to be the first to let you know that Dead & Company will be hitting the road next summer for what will be our final tour.
Stay tuned for a full list of dates for what will surely be an exciting, celebratory, and heartfelt last run of shows.
What a day it was a year ago. The #Bucks win an NBA Title in a game where Giannis Antetokounmpo dropped 50 points.
Where were you watching from last year?
