My brother had been dating this girl for almost a year when he found out she still owed about $18K in student loans.

This man LOST it.

He goes, “Nah, you should’ve told me this before we got serious.”

She looked confused.

“I literally pay my bills every month. Why does this change anything?”

He said, “Because I’m not marrying somebody who’s bad with money. I worked too hard to build my life.”

Girl looked like she was about to cry.

I was sitting there trying so hard to mind my business.

Then he said:

“I need a woman who’s financially responsible.”

Yeah. That did it.

I said, “Tony, didn’t Mom give you $32K last year to clear those credit cards?”

Silence.

His girl slowly turned toward him.

“Thirty-two THOUSAND?”

He looked at me like I had just committed a felony.

“Why tf would you tell her that?”

I said, “Wait, we’re discussing financial responsibility, right?”

He goes, “That was different.”

“How?”

“I was going through stuff.”

His girl goes, “So my student loans from nursing school make me irresponsible, but $32K in credit card debt was you ‘going through stuff’?”

He started getting mad.

“You don’t know what I was dealing with.”

And that's when my mom walked into the room.

She heard enough to know exactly what was happening.

Mom goes, “Tony, should I tell her WHY you had that debt, or you wanna stop talking?” ..............

My father abandoned an entire cart of groceries because I asked him if we could go home.

I was thirteen, and I wanted the floor to swallow me.

Dad: We just got here.

Me: I know. I am sorry.

Dad: Then why do you suddenly want to leave?

Me: I just do.

He looked annoyed.

Dad: We drove thirty minutes to get here. At least tell me what is wrong.

Me: Nothing.

Dad: Something is clearly wrong.

I could feel tears building, which only made me more embarrassed.

Then he looked down.

There was a small red stain on my jeans.

His entire expression changed.

Dad: Oh.

I froze.

It was my first period.

I had no pads with me, no sweater to tie around my waist, and absolutely no idea what I was supposed to do.

I whispered:

Me: Please do not tell Mom yet.

He took off his jacket and handed it to me.

Dad: Tie this around your waist.

Then he pushed the full cart to the side.

Me: What about the groceries?

Dad: They will survive.

He walked me straight to the pharmacy section.

The problem was, neither of us knew what we were looking for.

He stood in front of an entire wall of period products like he was studying for an exam.

Dad: Which ones do you need?

Me: I do not know.

Dad: Great. Neither do I.

For some reason, that made me laugh. 😂

A woman nearby heard us and smiled.

Woman: First time?

I wanted to disappear.

My father just nodded.

Dad: Yes. Could you help us?...........

@MaunaKeaHotel , it was appalling to see your hotel guests grabbing these manta rays. We did a tour with an amazing group called Sea Paradise who educated us about how harmful the human touch is to these majestic creatures. They emphasized that if anyone touched a manta, they’d immediately be removed from the water.

For those who don’t know (@MaunaKeaHotel certainly does), touching a manta ray strips its protective slime coating, exposing it to bacterial infections, and causing high stress that disrupts its natural feeding behavior. Damaged skin leaves raw patches open to bacteria, leading to slow-healing abrasions or red sores.

Why are there no posted signs? No employees out there? You apparently allow your wealthy guests to run roughshod over marine life as long as they pay your exorbitant prices. The worst offender was a bro who said he was a hotel guest. He was urging his family members on the viewing deck to join him. They said they’ll all do it tomorrow. Harming our ocean wildlife 😡.

You call your fine dining restaurant Manta and install lights next to it, using the mantas to attract high paying customers. The least you could do is educate your guests and ensure the mantas’ safety! DO BETTER!

Specifically, he would not commit to an inquiry into why my sister Maria Farmer's 1996 report went uninvestigated; he refused to release documents related to internal discussions about charging Epstein that would provide important clarification about previous errors, and his explanations for his nine-hour interview with Ghislaine Maxwell and her subsequent transfer to a less secure facility were wholly dissatisfactory and contrived.

@TheHost_ Happened to me in 2013. BRCA2. Had risk reducing surgery but CA was found in Fallopian Tube and sprinkled onto surface of ovary-Stage 2. Was beside myself. Six cycles of chemo. Sucked but very tolerable. IT HAS NEVER COME BACK!!! (Because it was caught early!)
