I just took part in the #BigPlasticCount, UK’s biggest investigation into household plastic waste. Here’s what I found really happens to my plastic waste:

♻️5% recycled
🌍8% sent abroad
🔥57% burnt
⛰️30% sent to landfill

2/2 reflection - some things are just really s**t and we can do our best, but it can be out of our control. Also, as students it's ok to be affected as long as we manage it appropriately & learn from every experience. This will stick with me, for sure @DerbyOT

1/2 Had first cry on placement today. Not in front of patient or their relatives, but in the car. Educator was amazing. Let me talk and reassured me it's ok as it shows I care. Also shared she gets the wobbly bottom lip from time to time, even after 20 years as an OT. @DerbyOT
