1% to 40-50% domestic chip production in one presidential term. US fab construction alone takes 3-5 years per facility. Someone should tell Nutlick that concrete needs to cure before you can put marketing numbers on top of it.

Secretary @howardlutnick: When the Trump Administration came in, we had like 1% production of semiconductors in the U.S. Our goal is now 40-50% domestic production by the end of the term.

@RapidResponse47 @howardlutnick Nutlick, US fabs take 3-5 years minimum from groundbreaking to production, Intel's own Ohio fab already missed its target despite breaking ground in 2022. Going from 1% to 40-50% in one term isn't a goal, it's a physics problem.
