Couldn’t have said it better myself @jordynsleftbrow. What she said 👈🏽, ms. @Simone_Biles, thank you for setting the example by putting your health first🙏🏽🫶🏼
@Simone_Biles little miss inspired a generation of athletes to be able to put themselves first to protect their physical/mental health and not feel guilty about it 🥺
@InsomniaDoodles Oh, absolutely, I didn’t mean to suggest basing your game on any other experiences but your own! I don’t have MS either (though there is overlap in symptoms); I thought the class was brilliant & helped to shed awareness of experiences shared across the chronic illness spectrum
#TFW you think you’ve *finally* had a decent night’s sleep on prednisone....only to realize it is Daylight Savings Time, and you actually *lost* an hour 😣 #insomniafiles
Definitely ableist that more telehealth medical appointments weren’t an option for homebound patients at all pre-pandemic. Truly grateful now, and I hope they keep this option available to us when we need it. #alloutofspoons
@stevesilberman I just hope that when the able world gets physical activity and novelty back to refresh their brains they won’t forget those of us who will remain in our own chronic illness lockdowns with these symptoms and much more. Hoping this experience leads to more empathy and equity.
Ladies, please don’t let the medical gaslighting keep you from listening to your body & trusting that gut instinct screaming at you that something is wrong. Hop on direct access (AKA direct-to-consumer) testing, if necessary. It could literally save your life. #beyourownadvocate
I’m not playing around this snowy morning. After 2 hrs cuddling the heating pad, there’s 2 Tylenol & a Meloxicam down the hatch so I can use my stiff hands w/o excruciating pain today—hopefully #spoonie#lupuslife
The world is so much brighter, so much better, because you are in it. If only you knew all the gifts that you bring to others. You would never feel sad again, but only rejoice in how wonderful God has made you!
#TFW Your new rheumatologist emails at 9pm on a Sunday night & jumps right into ordering follow-up tests to get to the bottom of the latest wonky radiological findings. 🙏🏽💙
On this episode of #ExplicitlySick (@Invisiblenotbrk), host Monica and I discuss VR. After this chat, she bought herself a #Quest2! Spoiler alert, she is in LOVE with VR and we have plans to talk more about it the next time we “get together” for a chat! https://t.co/hFc44aWcLH
@InsomniaDoodles@insomniacgames@Invisiblenotbrk After a lifetime of poor vision, increasing endocrine issues, and finally seizure-like activity, an mri ultimately revealed #SOD in my late 20s! What a surprise that was. Been able to find community for all other health issues, but SOD for us adults
