I have embarked upon a new endeavor as a professional DM with @dmsandgames and I am excited. If you are so inclined check out either my website listed in my profile or my profile pinned here: https://t.co/MD1zh0FhlH
@Gingerblast I have always only used checks if the outcome was uncertain. If a player says they try to lift the mountain, they fail. If they say they pick up a pebble, they succeed. But if they are trying to pick up something on the edge, then perhaps call for a check.
@mikemearls This my issue as well. I am working on a project called Reforged D&D that takes aim at condensing that. Positive reception from playtest this far.
@Gingerblast Genuinely curious. If something takes 1 year to craft, so you bank the character for 1 year before you can play them again and just play other characters until then?
@TimothyImholt You can’t have it both ways. If one side is “weird” for being upset by the name change, then the other side is weird for being upset by a word like wench. You have to ask yourself why you are siding with the revisionists.
@TimothyImholt@4m4l3kBr1t@KurouPS4 When your games, books, movies, and all the other wonderful IPs out there get “revised for modern audiences” time and time again it is more than reasonable to be upset. I prefer to vote with my dollars.
@pureMetatron By what metric? I suggest number of deaths caused which means Communism hands down. And before anyone jumps in: both are bad. This is a discussion of worse.
@EricDiaz_RPG That would be an interesting project. Could you take some of the best elements of all editions of D&D and create something new? The grit of the older editions with the ease of use of the newer editions.
