@JohnDCook It's difficult to predict who is going to turn into somebody significant but from my experience with AI and with students I would not hold my breath waiting until a bad student turns into a good one, AI or no AI.
@OPDDiaries FTD, fronto-temporal dementia will present with these symptoms. It's underlying cause is deleterious mutations in MAPT gene and ensuing degeneration of frontal and temporal lobes.
@Jikkyleaks@JAMA_current@MaryanneDemasi Great statistical analysis, way beyond what a mere mortal could offer! I have a more nuanced reservation about this study. The statement "Our cohort included alive individuals" is probably not correct since there were no individuals βdead or aliveβin this study, only datasets.
I've been practicing psychiatry for over forty years, and know my professional peers much better than you do. Modern psychiatry is more smug and self-assured than you can possibly imagine. When I'm critical of psychiatrists I'm not trying to dissuade my peers, because most are entirely sold on our treatment model. These fictions are our source of income. I'm calling these fictions out to inform the public at large.
@NTFabiano It's an interesting study but it does not look like it has a control group, e.g. brain connectivity patterns of people sitting in one of the many organizations meetings. Would there be a total disconnect?
@mornek23@DrKristieLeong I would recommend adding some nuts and a little bit - just a touch - of sugar. This is known as the "Bitter powder" and was first introduced by the Swedish writer Astrid Lindgren.
@MaryBowdenMD@IfindRetards It's uncommon in Europe to pass on the right. If you do, people may honk at you. However in the US we have huge multilane highways and it is very difficult to determine if someone on the right and 5 lanes over from you is actually "passing" you or is merely ignoring you.
