Dear God, thank You for this day and for being a God who’s always doing something new. Your word in Isaiah 43:18-19 says, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” God, I’m standing at the edge of something unfamiliar, and part of me is still holding onto what’s behind me, and I need to let that go. I need to remember that I’m not defined by where I’ve been, I’m being refined for where I’m going. I don’t want to go back to what broke me or return to what You already rescued me from. Help me trust the process and embrace this new season, even when I can’t see the way forward yet. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
But the path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day. -Proverbs 4:18
Dear God, thank You for this new day and for a heart that’s learning to see life through a lens of gratitude. Your word in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 says, “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” God, You’ve done so much for me that I can’t even count all the ways You’ve shown up. I’m choosing today to give You praise through the good and the bad, knowing that all of my help comes from You. Help me stay focused on gratitude even when life gets hard, because I know it’s Your will for me to give thanks through all of it. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. -Psalm 34:1
Dear God, thank You for this new day and for a word that brings hope because it’s true and consistent. Your word in Psalm 27:1 says, “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” God, I’ve had challenges that have tried to shake me, but I’m choosing today to set my hope on You, not on my circumstances and not on what ’s gonna happen tonight or tomorrow. You are the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, and I trust You for the rest of my life no matter what comes. Help me wait on You and walk through this day knowing that You’re always by my side. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. -2 Corinthians 2:14
Dear God, thank You for blessing me with another day, and thank You for all the things You do that I never even see. Your word in Psalm 118:29 says, “Give thanks to the Lord for He is good, His love endures forever.” Thank You for keeping me safe and protecting my family in ways I’ll never fully see. I submit my will, my heart, and my mind to You today. Give me a clear understanding of Your plan for my life and help me press forward instead of dwelling on the past. Remind me that nothing ahead of me is stronger than the power of God behind me. This life You’ve given me isn’t about me, it’s about You, and what I want most isn’t my own plan, but Your will for my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way. -Psalm 37:23
Dear God, thank You for this new day and for the opportunity to add something meaningful to someone else’s life today. Your word in Philippians 2:3-4 says, “Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.” God, help me be a positive person today, someone who adds to people’s lives instead of taking from them. Show me who needs encouragement, a kind word, or someone to just show up for them today. I want my life to be a living example of Your love to everyone I come across. Use me today in ways I never expected. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Let no one seek his own, but each one the other’s well-being. -1 Corinthians 10:24
Dear God, thank You for being a God who never passes me by. You always see me and You’re always listening. Your word in Psalm 34:17-18 says, “When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” God, that’s me today, and I’m trusting that You hear every word. Forgive me for the moments I’ve tried to take things into my own hands out of impatience, and I’m inviting You right into the middle of my storm right now. Your word in Isaiah 30:18 says, “Blessed are all those who wait for Him,” and I’m choosing to be one of those people today. I will be still, I will be patient, and I will keep crying out because I know You’re going to come through for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore He will rise up to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for Him. -Isaiah 30:18
Dear God, thank You for this new day and for a grace that I could never earn and don’t deserve. Your word in Luke 23:43 says, “And Jesus said to him, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.’” God, that moment on the cross reminds me that You don’t require perfection before You accept me. All You ask for is real faith, a heart that looks to You and says, “Remember me.” I’m not going to live a perfect life today, but I’m choosing to trust You with everything I have and let that trust show in the way I seek to obey You. Thank You for Your grace that covers every mistake and Your love that keeps showing up no matter how many times I fall short. I step into this day grateful that it’s not about what I’ve done, it’s about what You’ve already done for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. -Ephesians 2:8-9
Dear God, thank You for this new day and for being my deliverer, my healer, and my friend. Your word in Psalm 34:4-7 says, “I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. They looked to Him and were radiant, and their faces were not ashamed. This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him and saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them.” God, I’m stepping into this day knowing that You hear every cry of my heart and You’ve saved me so many times when I couldn’t see a way out. There’s no problem or obstacle today that’s greater than You, and I’m trusting You with all of it. Bless this day with everything I need to keep going and keep believing. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him. -Psalm 34:8
