The first day of the conference concluded with an engaging Q&A session, where participants had the opportunity to ask questions about cooperatives and receive insightful responses from our expert panelists. Looking forward to more discussions tomorrow!
Dear @HEC_Rwanda, greetings. I come to u with hope to get a help. I’ve been told that i’ll receive my equivalence in a week after providing all the required docs. Unfortunately, several weeks have passed with no feedback. Kindly check and take action. B240808212429B2DH. Thanks.

Maman @RMukankomeje receive my greetings. U are the best person to help me get done with my equivalence app.I’ve made a follow up but never been served. My app ID is B231006184235MK2W. Send the email via [email protected] to confirm with the institute where i pursued my MSc.
@HEC_Rwanda i have already submitted the requested extra documents for my equivalence request since many days ago. Can you please make a follow up? The applied doc is urgently needed for different applications. The app number is B231006184235MK2W. Many thanks
Dear @HEC_Rwanda , been a while since when i tried to call a given number of the person in charge without any feedback (calls not picked and inaccessible sometime). Who do I reach out in your office to follow up with equivalence request submitted months ago? Cc @RMukankomeje
The world is at a greater flood risk than what we realize – consider the “human factor”. We just published the first global estimate of human alterations in natural floodplains. In 27 years between 1992 and 2019, the world has lost a dreading 600,000 square kilometer #floodplains due to human disturbances. Here’s the link to our paper in #Nature @ScientificData: https://t.co/mlIydvXmIG
Using #remotesensing data and #geospatial analytics, we studied 520 major river basins of the world, and discovered previously unknown spatial patterns and temporal trends of human floodplain alterations. Major takeaways:
Floodplains becoming cities: Nearly 60% of the #urbanization in global floodplains occurred in Europe alone.
Wetland habitat in danger: One-third of the total global loss of floodplain #wetlands occurred in North America.
Deforestation of floodplains: In the #Amazon floodplains, the pattern of agriculture expansion is nearly identical to the pattern of #deforestation.
More mega floods in Asia: The rate of human alteration in Asia’s floodplains is clearly the most concerning compared to the other continents, which may be why Asia has been experiencing mega floods in recent times.
Fast & furious: The recent (2010s) rate of human alterations of the world’s floodplains was 1.6 x faster than the recent past (1980s). In some regions, Australia for example, this rate was 20 x faster.
