Fortnite Playlist Device Concept
I had this concept I was thinking for quite a bit and I wanted to share it with you all. BR has the ability to have multiple versions of their map inside the same "code" and
I was wondering how would something like that be achieved for Creative Islands. So I thought of a device In which you will have an array where you can set multiple modes of the map.
Name: Will be the name shown on the mode selection screen
MaxPartySize: Won't allow parties bigger than this number to queue (Setting privacy to Private game WILL override this)
MaxTeams: Will override the Max Teams options found in the IslandSettings device.
TeamSize: Will override the Team Size option found in the IslandSettings device.
MaxPlayers: Will override the MaxPlayers option found in the IslandSettings device.
Show After How Many CCU: Having multiple modes can negatively affect game lobbies if your map does not have enough players to fill each mode it will result in empty lobbies and players being spread. What this will do is hide the mode untill the map has reached that amount of total players across all the modes. I believe this or some system similar to this is a must since fortnite Ranked ZeroBuild Solos has a similar system for certain regions just instead of disabling modes based on CCU plays its based around a timed schedule opening the mode for peak hours.
However if the game privacy is set to Private all the modes will be available for selection.
One QoL feature that could be added along with this device is the ability to detect via verse/DEB if the match is a private/Public game.
Although not as necessary it would be great if we were also able to upload custom images for the modes
This is a concept I have no idea how fortnite playlists work and if something like this can even be realistically achieved without needing needing to make separate projects or something like that but I feel this could be a welcome addition one way or another

๐ข Personalized row ordering is rolling out now on Discover and will be available to players over the next few days
Check out the announcement from todayโs Letโs Chat livestream with Epicโs @HaroldAtEpic and Jon Fox:
Gameplay of the Unreal Remote app for #UEFN and #UE it essentially just streams the game to your device with the ability to control it.
I would highly recommend being near the router otherwise there'll be a big delay between outputs and the video
From what I've seen, Custom Items & Inventories are 2000% better than they were 2 weeks ago. It looks like they are actually usable now. ๐ฏ Epic did the turnaround ๐
@giovauefn To be fair I'm pretty far from the Wi-Fi, though I would love a USB connection option.
That being said while the video output was delayed, my inputs from the iPad reached the PC client almost instantaneous.
@LenkaAccount Let's freaking gooooo, That actually gave me much more belief to the custom items, Might actually consider enabling them on some existing maps if not many crazy bugs arise
Starting in v40.30 XP Calibration is moving to a more flexible multi-stage system.
โ Instead of waiting to fully calibrate before earning accolade XP, your island now moves through stages - shifting gradually from playtime XP toward accolade XP as more data is evaluated.
๐ด Smaller islands can now earn some accolade XP before reaching full calibration. If XP balance falls out of range, your island moves back stages in the process rather than pausing accolade XP entirely.
