1st visit to new dentist & I only expect the typical x-rays & a dental cleaning. Instead I’m now periodically checking to make sure I still have a nose after several shots of novacane for a gum treatment. Good news, my nose is still attached. Bad news, I am 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤

Physical discomfort aside, every time this happens, the emotional impact cannot be emphasized enough. I had an amazing day going to a musical & dinner w/friends. Instead of of joy, this is how I’m ending my night, with frustration & fury that our system allows this to continue.

Another night, another #guidedog denial with #lyft. This time in the cold & rain with a hardworking Viva who just wants to go home for dinner & snuggles. Reported & got the usual reply , but so generous, they gave me a $10 credit for my experience. I am grateful it wasn’t $5 🙄

@ChanceyFleet No, I don’t buy that @dequesystems did not know how most of the blind community feels about her. Giving her such a big platform and honoring her as a keynote speaker when she has done nada for digital a11y is an affront to legit advocates doing the hard dirty work. I’m mad.

Thinking when @airaio gets around to implementing technical skills for agents that typing be 1 of the requirements. Had an agent take 17 minutes to typ the front and back of an insurance card. Maybe I’m not being realistic? But other agents have done same task in shorter time.
