Do you know someone who was on holiday in Sanday at the end of May, who has now gone home to Ealing in west London? They might - without realising it - have taken a bird tracker with them, which fell off an oystercatcher. And it's been tracking their every move. (1/2)
The boss of @GWRHelp is Mark Hopwood. I'm sure he'd be delighted to accept this challenge: "Dear Mark, please post a video of yourself getting a standard bicycle on and off the hooks you provide, on a crowded train, without injuring anyone."
RT if you'd also like to see it.
@krishgm Newsround was so important to me as a child in the 80s. Loved it. And wow, those photos! So young! Look at you. Thank you for continuing to be a beacon of excellent broadcasting in your roles today.
@TimHarford Tim you're one of my heros, but I've been chewing over something from most recent @BBCMoreOrLess . What did you mean by "XX put me up to it" wrt info on women & periods? It's a super important topic, if you have periods. Detected slight awkwardness, can u shed light?
My Dad is quite frail now and undergoing a lot of treatment for blood cancer. So thank you to the awesome @pedalmeapp for this ride to the station today, it did make him smile! Driver Daniel was fantastic 👍
@ShappiKhorsandi@themayhew Just not suitable for some properties to have pets, like blocks of flats. Not suitable for a dog and not fair on many, many neighbours if turns out to be noisy or a fouling nuisance. Both the owners' fault of course, not the pet's.
@HelenNickols Hmmmmm. Lots of key worker jobs are available everywhere like teachers, nurses, Council jobs. If you've got a car you will under-estimate journey times and over-estimate walking and cycling times. Was research on that but can't remember where.
@HelenNickols I've always thought it a bit mad that people choose to live miles from where they work then complain about being stuck in traffic. Madness
2/2 also (2) the social enterprise I run, @CarryMe_Bikes provided @hackneycouncil with a #cargobike tricycle for their Tree Service to help look after their street trees in a green and healthy way. They named it their "Treecycle" 😄❤️🌳
TREES on @BBCRadio4#saturdaylive : two things (1) I understand that #Brighton 's elms were protected by the awesome hard work of the tree officers who prevented Dutch elm disease taking hold in the city, combined with Brighton's geographical advantages. 1/2
My friend who's not on twitter found James Stephen's grave - the leading abolitionist lawyer who drafted the Slave Trade Act 1807
The grave was covered in moss & the inscription hardly visible, so he went back today, scrubbed it down and painted in the lettering 💪🏽
