@buchmeier_gage i am very much in favor of re-purposing and renovation because a building's history and character is preserved. some structures aren't built to last as well today as they were back then, and that craftsmanship in itself is worth saving.

@georgiacarch329 i think it certainly contributed to Detroit's problems. large and powerful industries have left cities and damaged their economies/landscapes and Detroit is not the only place suffering from that loss of industry.

@RunyanGuo i think architects should solve as many "problems" as they can but it depends on the program. a space intended to showcase light or acoustics should be able to do so without concerning every design "problem"
