A couple of those were from Arsenal ball losses but overall I think this Bayern side who has this much quality and solutions against man to man marking is more an outlier than anything.
Pavlovic has done a great job meeting Odegaard early in these sorts of situations but after a ball loss he found the time he needed on the ball to punish Bayern.
In a way it’s been a bit of a blessing having Davies out there as a winger because teams like to get their full back forward and win second balls with them marked by an attacker, right now it’s been fullback on fullback with Timber and Davies.
Given how Kompany has just confirmed Diaz is dealing with a bit of a knock and how they already were down three of their best players, this lineup seems to be less of a reaction to what Arsenal do well and more to do with trying to play our game with all of these key absences.
Vincent Kompany on why Luis Díaz is not in the starting lineup tonight: "We’re going through a period with little time to recover. Sometimes, that means one game can have an impact on the next. Lucho Díaz was already struggling towards the end of the game against Leipzig. We were worried that something had happened to him. He has trained again, so he could play a role today if he feels good. We’re happy that he’s available at all." [DAZN]
We didn't have Garcia making 10 saves 😭 infact Neuer made 0 saves and we conceded 5. Garcia made 10 saves and conceded 4. Neuer make half of Garcia's saves we concede 0 😭
@IFBpriv I disagree ngl, the only way to beat them is to try and outplay them. But tbh the only comp people see them in is the CL and trying for that one off result sitting back might be best.
Mind you, Garcia has made some very crucial saves too. If it wasn't for him this could have been much worse. There is only so much one can do with that squad in the CL.
Barca was much better in the second half but in the end I think PSG put on a sensational performance, one where they realistically could’ve won by 5 goals.
