The Governor @Johnlonyangapuo assented to West Pokot County #ClimateChange Fund Bill, 2021 last evening. The bill will put in place framework and mechanisms for mobilization and facilitation of the #countygovernment, communities and other stakeholders to respond effectively
REPAIR:NORTH POKOT SUB-COUNTY
@MinistryWest repaired a series of boreholes in North Pokot Sub-County. The identified areas slotted for repair and maintenance are the ones that are most affected by water shortage even in the rainy season.

Alale Primary School's solar powered borehole had parts replacement and now functions better with a new pump and motor. The improvement will ensure pupils and the surrounding community have ample water for livestock and the running of daily activities #mondaythoughts

The Natural Resources team conducted a public sensitization meeting to educate the miners on Mining, Environment Management and Water Acts. In attendance were Water Resource Management Authority-Upper Turkwel Office and @NemaKenya-West Pokot @WPCGovernment
Meeting for the Validation of County Climate Change Regulation 2020 chaired by Mr. Kennedy Director Environment and Natural Resources. Joined are Partners from ACDI-VOCA USAID, World Vision, KWS, KFS, NDMA and Red-cross. The process was foreseen by the County Attorney Mr. Katina.
We also handed over The Enopogh-Embogh Water Supply Project today at Ptoo Centre. The projects aim at steady supply of water to the residents of the centres which will in turn boost economic empowerment through time and labour saved, and agricultural activities made easier.
