@Englishremnant There were no Spetsnaz before 1950 (formally 1960). So aside from a WW2 U.S. soldier probably not knowing the term "squaddie", there's that...
82 years ago, men of America’s greatest generation performed the largest amphibious assault in world history. They pushed up the beaches of Normandy, braved machine gun fire, and begun the liberation of France.
Today we remember those men.
@TheLaikYobaz Open eyes, engage brain - You'll notice those are emergency patches on an aircraft that is flying. Meaning ground crew patched up small holes and determined the aircraft was ok to fly missions. Wow...big deal... So...how's Iran's airforce doing?
@Rhevolver Do you people not notice that there is no line of cars waiting right at the construction lane closure? That's because most drivers know to let each other merge like a zipper.
@Rhevolver What's so "satisfying" about it? The driver had to merge because of construction and the person filming was being a jerk. All it shows is the person filming doesn't know how to drive and maybe the person posting it doesn't either - or is rage baiting.
@paphlagoniann@haberGBT That's not an everyday thing. It's done sometimes to show officers are not a separate caste from the soldiers. Many armies do treat the regular soldier like a dirty peasant and officers like pampered nobles. Maybe the Turkish army is like that.
