@berningman16 @Snowden The US freedom of speech laws still have exceptions, even if not called "hate speech" - things like defamation and threatening. Of course different countries' laws have slight variations, but the fact that they're not exactly the same verbatim doesn't make one wildly unique.

@ShelleyGldschmt @AOC A ceasefire would benefit thousands of completely innocent Palestinian civilians being killed/bombed/deprived of basic necessities like food. As an unfortunate consequence, yes, it would also benefit Hamas, but it isn't fair to punish an entire country just to hurt them.
