Yesterday, I met with over 2,500 Primary School Teachers, Head-Teachers alongside LG Education Secretaries. This interaction afforded me the leeway to hear more points in driving our Free Education Policy.

Before I declared 'Free Education', I had sent a Team when I was Governor-elect to go round all the 16LGAs to bring me Data and Pictures of all the Primary and Secondary Schools in Taraba state. So, my decision was well thought out and there’s no going back on this.

The 'out-of-school children' numbers in Taraba are embarrassing and we have to do something pronto.

We are reactivating the Taraba Printing Press for more productivity, to enable the Government meet up with the provision of books and other materials that will be needed to actualize the Free Education Policy.

Teachers will have the opportunity to attend Seminars, Workshops, Trainings within Nigeria and even outside Nigeria. Also, Housing projects for Teachers will be available - so that they will be more committed to their work.
