Also worth clarifying that the minister of virtue and vice’s words are not laws! In his speech, he was attempting to reference why they believe a woman’s melodious and loud voice should not be used infront of men by referring to women (praying in public which implies men being present) not allowed to stop another woman loudly when they pass infront of them. Barely anyone tried to read the actual law or listen to the actual words of the minister. The reading of Islam of some of these #Taliban is worrisome but go watch Tolo today and you’ll see women journalist still on air. The truth matters because we need to know what we are fighting. You’re right. This sensationalism helps no one. “Women not allowed to hear each other”, what the hell does that even mean? No one cares but it makes for good outrage.
