Hungary's spies in Ukraine!!!

They were investigating the mood in Transcarpathia in the event of an occupation by Hungarian troops: For the first time in history, the SBU revealed the Hungarian military intelligence agent network in Ukraine.

The network was busy gathering information on the military security of the Transcarpathian region. This included investigating military facilities, the mood on the ground, and analyzing the potential reaction of the population to a possible intervention by Hungarian troops.

The SBU has arrested two agents of the network. One of them is a 40-year-old former soldier who was recruited in 2021. It was activated in 2024 to collect data such as military resources on the black market, the presence of the Hungarian population, and military operations in Transcarpathia. During several meetings, it was planned to share this data with the Hungarian intelligence services.

The second person arrested is a former soldier who informed the Hungarian intelligence service about troops in the region.

The suspects are accused of high treason. For these crimes, they face life imprisonment and confiscation of their property.
